Our living rooms are THE space in our home that we spend most of our time in! It’s where we visit with friends, it’s where we watch movies as a family, it’s the room we ok by and through a million times a day! Naturally, I believe living rooms are a great place to invest in before a room that isn’t seen as much like your master bedroom! Let’s get right into my tips and some easy shopping options that I picked out!
HERE ARE 3 EASY WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR LIVING ROOM:
1. Change your pillows!
Pillows can be such a trendy item which can easily date your living room! Even if your just looking to refresh, pillows are a great place to start! If you keep your furniture and some of your other pieces in your living room pretty neutral, you can change out pillows for pretty much any season and completely change the look and color scheme of your living room! At Christmas, I love decorating with red but the rest of the year, I don’t incorporate red!

2. Update your rug!
Like pillows, rugs can be a great way to add new updated patterns and colors! I like to keep my rugs pretty neutral that way I can let my color be added in with my accessories like pillows, floral, etc. I love too many styles and colors for each season, this strategy works really good for me! Rugs can also be great pop of color! There are some seriously gorgeous vintage style rugs and those bright colorful rugs really make a room look beautiful! If your married to a color scheme, a full room of color also is an option too!

Lamps can date so quickly! Metals change, material textures, lamp shade shape and color and shapes are trends that can really date your living room!
